At Velvet Paw Siberians, we want every kitten to find a loving and responsible home. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that our kittens are placed with families who are prepared to provide lifelong care and companionship.
1. Contact Us
If you are interested in welcoming a Siberian kitten into your home, please begin by contacting us by email, Facebook, or Instagram. We are happy to answer questions about the breed, our cats, and upcoming litters.
2. Join the Waiting List
Because Siberian kittens are in high demand, we may maintain a waiting list for future litters. After discussing your preferences, such as gender or color, you may be added to our waiting list for an upcoming litter.
3. Kitten Availability
Once kittens are born and begin to grow, we will contact families on our waiting list in the order they joined. At this stage, photos and updates about the kittens will be shared.
4. Reservation Deposit
To reserve a kitten, a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit confirms your reservation and will be applied toward the final purchase price of the kitten.
5. Raising Our Kittens
Our kittens remain with their mother and littermates during their early development. During this time they receive daily socialization, playtime, and careful care to help them grow into confident and well-adjusted companions.
6. Going to Their New Homes
Kittens typically leave for their new homes between 12 and 14 weeks of age. By this time they are well socialized and have received appropriate veterinary care.
Each kitten goes home with:
- veterinary health examination
- age-appropriate vaccinations
- deworming treatment
- health record
- kitten care information.
7. Lifelong Support
We care deeply about every kitten we raise and are always happy to provide guidance and support to our kitten families. We love receiving updates and photos as our kittens grow.
